Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) is hiring 2 Dy. Chief Electrical Engineers/Project on deputation basis for its Electrical Project Department. Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Government of India undertaking, has released Vacancy Notice No. DE/P/10/2026 for 2 posts of Dy. Chief Electrical Engineer/Project in JAG/SG scale, to be filled on deputation basis. The selected officer will act as Project Head for KRCL's ongoing electrification projects at various locations. KRCL is exempted from the rule of immediate absorption until 31 December 2026, and the officer continues to draw pay from their parent cadre plus a deputation allowance.

Who Can Apply?

• Eligibility: You must be a serving IRSEE Officer of Indian Railways working in JAG/SG (Pay Matrix Level 12/13) of 7th CPC.
• Experience: You need 3 years' experience in construction/project work of OHE & PSI (Overhead Equipment and Power Supply Installation).
• As per Railway Board letter no. 2018/E(O)II/41/1 dated 08/02/2023, applications of officers working in Zonal Railways/PUs must be forwarded through Railway Board with the approval of the Competent Authority in the Ministry, at least 7 days before the last date.
• KRCL will consider applications only of those officers whose applications are forwarded by the Railway Board.

Age Limit

• You must be below 55 years of age as on the date of notification (16 July 2026).

Salary

• The post carries JAG Level 12 (GP-7600) or SG Level 13 (GP-8700) under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• You will draw the pay of your parent cadre, plus deputation (duty) allowance, as per DoPT instructions.
• Retention of Railway accommodation during deputation is allowed as per Railway Board policy RBE No. 027/2026 dated 23 March 2026.

Selection Process

KRCL will select candidates through the following process:

1. Eligibility Screening: Applications forwarded through the proper channel are screened against the eligibility and experience criteria.
2. Shortlisting: Eligible and suitable applicants are shortlisted as per the selection criteria laid down by the Railway Board.

Selection criteria will be as mentioned in Ministry of Railway, Railway Board's letters No. 2017/E(O)II/41/5 dated 25 May 2017 and No. 2018/E(O)II/41/1 dated 07 March 2018.
