RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RCIL) Junior Hindi Translator Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RCIL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has issued Vacancy Notice No. 12/2026 (Dated 15 July 2026) for the post of Junior Hindi Translator (E-0 level) at its Corporate Office in East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi. RailTel is one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country, built on the optical fibre network laid alongside Indian Railways tracks, and it delivers telecom and ICT solutions to Indian Railways, government bodies, PSUs and other organisations across India. The post falls under the Rajbhasha (Hindi) department and can be filled either through deputation (for serving railway officers, forwarded through proper channel) or re-employment (for retired/resigned railway officers). This is a rare central PSU opening reserved specifically for experienced Hindi translators from the Railways — general jobseekers without a Railways Rajbhasha background cannot apply.

Who Can Apply?

  • For Deputation: You must be a serving Junior Hindi Translator with at least 4 years of service in Level-6 (7th CPC) pay scale, applying through proper channel via your Zonal Railway/organisation.
  • For Re-employment: You must be a retired or resigned Junior Hindi Translator with at least 4 years of service in Level-6 (7th CPC).
  • Skills Needed: You should be skilled in English-to-Hindi translation and know Rajbhasha implementation work as per Railway Board and Department of Official Language (MHA) guidelines.
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus Hindi typing on computer.
  • Experience: Prior experience handling Parliamentary Committee inspections on official language is required.
  • Tenure (Deputation): Three years, or till RCIL is exempted from the rule of immediate absorption, whichever is earlier.
  • Tenure (Re-employment): Till work requirement continues, at the discretion of RailTel management.
  • Note: Your candidature is treated as provisional until your parent department verifies your details and forwards your application through proper channel.

Age Limit

  • For Deputation: Your age should not exceed 56 years as on the closing date (14 August 2026).
  • For Re-employment: You should be below 62 years as on the closing date (14 August 2026).
  • Reference Date: Your age, qualification and eligibility are all counted as on the closing date of this vacancy notice, i.e. 14 August 2026.

Salary

  • The post carries the E-0 level pay scale of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,20,000 (IDA scale).
  • On deputation, you will get your parent grade pay plus deputation allowance as per rules.
  • On re-employment, you will get pay as per DPE scales and allowances at the level of selection, as per RailTel's re-employment terms.
  • As a Navratna PSU, RailTel follows DPE (Department of Public Enterprises) pay guidelines, so your compensation package is comparable to other leading central PSUs.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this post. Selection is based on:

  1. Application Screening: RCIL reviews your proforma application, bio-data and service record.
  2. Clearance Check: Your application must include vigilance/DAR clearance and APARs of the last 5 years (for deputation candidates).
  3. Final Selection: RCIL management selects candidates based on eligibility and suitability for the post.

How to Apply

  1. Serving Junior Hindi Translators should fill the prescribed proforma (Annexure-I) for deputation.
  2. Route your application through your Zonal Railway/organisation, along with bio-data showing your previous postings.
  3. Attach a signed statement about any previous deputation to Central PSUs, vigilance/DAR clearance, and APARs of the last 5 years.
  4. Mention Vacancy Notice No. 12/2026 clearly on your application and envelope.
  5. Retired or resigned candidates should fill Annexure-II and send it directly to RailTel — applications without enclosures will not be considered.
  6. Send the complete application by post to RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, Plate-A, 6th Floor, Office Block, Tower-2, East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi - 110023 before 14 August 2026.

Note: Applications received without the required statement, vigilance/DAR clearance, or APARs will not be entertained at all. Zonal Railways and other organisations are advised to also inform eligible SC/ST/OBC officers about this vacancy.

If you are a Central Government or Railways employee currently working in a Rajbhasha/Hindi cell with the right profile, this is a good opportunity to move into a growing Navratna PSU that handles pan-India telecom and ICT projects.
