Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Government of India undertaking, has released Vacancy Notice No. CO/P/E-RE/06/2026 for 2 posts of Dy. Chief Electrical Engineer/Project in its Electrical Project Department. KRCL needs dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented retired officers to meet the immediate manpower requirement of its Integrated Maintenance Project Department. This is a re-employment opportunity for retired Railway/Government/PSU officers - not a fresh recruitment for serving employees. The place of posting will be at various ongoing project works being executed by KRCL.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering from an AICTE-recognized university.
• Service background: You must be a retired Electrical department Executive of Indian Railways, Central Government, State Government, or a CPSU/SPU.
• Eligibility Criteria (any one): Retired IRSEE Officer who worked in JAG/SG (Pay Matrix Level 12/13) of 7th CPC with 3 years' experience in construction/project of OHE & PSI at the time of retirement, OR retired IRSEE Officer who worked in Pay Matrix Level 11 of 7th CPC with 10 years' experience in construction/project of OHE and PSI at the time of retirement.
• Applications submitted with false information will make the candidate liable for immediate dismissal, if selected, without any notice or disciplinary action.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit to apply is 65 years as on the date of notification (16 July 2026).

Salary

• Selected candidates will be paid at JAG Level 12 (7th CPC, GP-7600) or SG Level 13 (GP-8700) of the pay matrix.
• Your actual pay will be equal to your last basic pay minus pension, as per Railway Board guidelines.
• DA and other allowances will apply as per government rules.
• Appointment is on re-employment basis for an initial period of 1 year, extendable year-to-year based on satisfactory performance and mutual consent. KRCL may discontinue the post at any time based on requirement.

Selection Process

KRCL will select candidates through the following process:

1. Application Screening: KRCL reviews applications against the eligibility criteria and shortlists suitable candidates.
2. Vigilance and D&AR Clearance: Selection is subject to vigilance and disciplinary clearance of the shortlisted candidate.

KRCL reserves the right to alter the number of vacancies and other procedure, or to cancel the recruitment against this notification, without citing any reason.
