RailTel Corporation of India Ltd (RCIL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has issued Vacancy Notice No. 13/2026 dated 15 July 2026 for one post of Deputy Manager/Manager in the E-1/E-2 executive grade. This is a deputation posting, open only to serving executives working in the Signal & Telecom (S&T) departments of Indian Railways, other Telecom CPSEs, or DoT. RailTel builds and operates one of India's largest optical fibre telecom networks along railway tracks, providing broadband, Wi-Fi and digital services to Indian Railways, government bodies and other organisations across the country. This role is based in its Prayagraj Territory under the Northern Region, where you will oversee O&M, project rollout and coordination work. Who Can Apply?

• Service: You must currently be an executive working in the S&T Department of Indian Railways, another Telecom CPSE, or the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
• For the Manager post: You need at least 4 years of service in Level-7 (7th CPC) or an equivalent IDA scale of Rs. 50,000-1,60,000 (3rd PRC) or Rs. 20,600-46,500 (2nd PRC).
• For the Deputy Manager post: You should currently be working in Level-7 (7th CPC) or an equivalent IDA scale of Rs. 40,000-1,40,000 (3rd PRC) or Rs. 16,400-40,500 (2nd PRC).
• Experience: You need at least 5 years of work experience in the telecom sector at the Executive (E-1/E-2) level.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 56 years as on the closing date of the vacancy notice (14 August 2026).
• The cut-off date for both age and eligibility is the closing date of the vacancy notice, not the date you apply.
• There is no separate age relaxation mentioned for SC/ST/OBC officers, but the notice specifically advises all eligible SC/ST/OBC officers to apply.

Salary

• Since this is a deputation post, you will draw your parent grade pay plus deputation allowance as per government rules, instead of a fixed RailTel pay scale.
• Eligible officers are typically working in Level-7 (7th CPC) or equivalent IDA scales ranging from around Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,60,000 per month, depending on whether you are selected for the Manager or Deputy Manager post.

Selection Process

RailTel will select the candidate through the following steps:

1. Application Screening: Your application, routed through the proper channel by your parent organisation, is checked against the eligibility criteria for the post.
2. Document Verification: Your bio-data, previous postings and deputation history, Vigilance/DAR clearance, and APARs of the last 5 years are verified before final selection.

3. Get your Vigilance/DAR clearance certificate and APARs of the last 5 years attached and duly signed.
