IRCON International Limited, a Navratna public sector company under the Ministry of Railways, is recruiting Rail Welding (EA) Technicians for its Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail T2 Project. This is a project-linked contract appointment on a pay scale, with a walk-in recruitment arrangement in Surat. The main point to weigh before applying is the service bond and project-linked tenure.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The contract starts for two years. An extension depends on your performance and the project's needs, and the appointment ends with the project.
• Performance review: IRCON reviews your work after the first year. Unsatisfactory performance can lead to termination, so the initial tenure is subject to this review.
• Service bond: You must sign a bond of Rs. 5,00,000 to serve during the initial two-year period and any extension, up to a maximum of three years.
• Regular employment: This engagement does not give you a right to join IRCON's regular establishment or move into an appointment on another project.
• Project schedule: Working days and hours follow the project. You receive a weekly day off and public holidays when the project office is closed.
• Leave: The notice provides twelve casual-leave days and twelve earned-leave days annually. Earned leave can be encashed after completing three years of service, and no other leave type is listed.
• Former contract staff: If your earlier IRCON contract ended because a project closed, you may apply under the stated conditions. Any appointment here starts afresh and has no link to your previous service.
• Recruitment changes: IRCON can revise or cancel its staffing requirement after reassessment. Incorrect application information can also lead to rejection at any point.
