The National Institute of Technology Raipur (NITRR) has released a notification for 1 Junior Research Fellow post in the Department of Information Technology under an SERB (CRG) sponsored project titled "Intelligent Cyber Threat Detection and Forensic Analysis System". There is no written exam for this post — selection is entirely through a walk-in interview. This is a good opportunity for engineering graduates interested in machine learning, cybersecurity and IoT research to work directly under an experienced Principal Investigator, with a possible pathway to a Ph.D. at NIT Raipur.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in CSE, IT, ECE, Data Science, AI or ML (or a related branch) with GATE qualification
• Alternate Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in the same fields, or MCA/MSc (Computer Science/IT), from an Institute of National Importance or AICTE-approved institution
• Minimum Marks: 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA (out of 10)
• Preference: GATE/NET qualified candidates will be preferred
• Desirable: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Python programming

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000 plus 18% HRA, which comes to Rs. 43,660 per month.
• The position is initially till 31 January 2027 and may be extended for 6 more months, co-terminus with the project.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Walk-in Interview: There is no written test — candidates are interviewed directly at NIT Raipur based on their application and qualifications.
2. Document Verification: Original certificates must be presented for verification at the time of the interview.

Note: No TA/DA is payable for attending the interview, and the post is purely temporary, co-terminus with the project.
