IIT ISM Dhanbad Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad is recruiting a Junior Research Fellow for the Physics project Hamiltonian Engineering for Non-Ergodic Quantum Dynamics. Dr. Sudipto Singha Roy is the principal investigator for this sponsored research appointment.

The project is supported by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under its Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant programme. This is a focused quantum dynamics project, with theoretical and numerical research at the centre of the advertised work.

The notice identifies a project GPU workstation as part of its research setup. You would work with the principal investigator on the project, rather than join a general institute-wide recruitment pool.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Appointment length: The appointment can last up to three years or until the project finishes, whichever comes first. The notice lists the project tenure as ending on 02/09/2029, subject to earlier project closure.
• Progression: Moving from JRF to Senior Research Fellow is governed by the Department of Science and Technology order cited in the notice. The change in designation is subject to those conditions.

• Travel and stay: You must arrange your own stay in Dhanbad if needed. The institute will not reimburse travel or daily allowances for attending the interview.
