Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRC), a Joint Venture of the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh, operates the Noida–Greater Noida Metro Corridor. NMRC has released Advertisement No. NMRC/HR/Rectt./03/2026 to fill one position in its Legal Department — either at Senior Section Officer (Legal) or Section Officer (Legal) level, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Only one post will be filled — you must tick the relevant post as per your eligibility. Applications are accepted on Deputation, Immediate Absorption, or Direct Recruitment basis. Preference is given to candidates currently working with Metro Rail, Railways, or Railway PSUs.

Who Can Apply?
Educational Qualification (Both Posts)
- Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised University/Institute — either a 3-year regular course or a 5-year integrated regular course
- Degree must be from a Government-recognised University/Institute
Post-Qualification Experience (Government Sector Only)
- Senior Section Officer (Legal): Minimum 6 years of post-qualification supervisory-level experience in government sector
- Section Officer (Legal): Minimum 5 years of post-qualification supervisory-level experience in government sector
The experience must include work in: drafting and vetting of agreements, tenders, MOUs, contracts and legal documents; preparing documentary evidence for legal proceedings; statutory compliance under labour laws, PF Act, tax laws; preparation of case files and writs; coordination with empanelled lawyers; assistance in arbitration and court cases; RTI and public grievance matters.
Present Pay Scale Criteria
- For SSO (Legal): Currently working in IDA scale of Rs. 46,000–1,45,000 or CDA pay scale L-8 (Rs. 47,600–1,51,100). Or currently working for 3 years in IDA scale Rs. 40,000–1,25,000 or CDA L-7 (Rs. 44,900–1,42,400)
- For SO (Legal): Currently working in IDA scale of Rs. 40,000–1,25,000 or CDA pay scale L-7 (Rs. 44,900–1,42,400). Or currently working for 3 years in IDA scale Rs. 35,000–1,10,000 or CDA L-6 (Rs. 35,400–1,12,400)
- Private sector experience and experience as Management Trainee/Graduate Engineer Trainee/Apprentice is NOT counted
- Candidates currently working in the private sector are not eligible
Age Limit
- Maximum age for Deputation: 56 years as on the closing date (30 April 2026)
- Maximum age for Direct Recruitment / Immediate Absorption: 40 years as on the closing date
- Age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC (NCL) candidates applies only for reserved posts — this post is UR (Unreserved), so no relaxation is available
Salary
- Senior Section Officer (Legal): IDA Pay Scale Rs. 46,000 – Rs. 1,45,000 per month
- Section Officer (Legal): IDA Pay Scale Rs. 40,000 – Rs. 1,25,000 per month
- Plus HRA @ 30%, IDA @ 53.4% (as on date), Perks @ 31.5%
- Statutory benefits: PF, Gratuity, Medical benefits at CGHS Rates
- Direct Recruitment candidates start at the initial basic pay of the applicable scale; no pay protection from previous employer

Responsibilities
- Draft and vet legal agreements, tenders, work proposals, MOUs, contracts, and legal documents
- Prepare and present documentary evidence for legal proceedings and court cases
- Handle statutory compliance under labour laws, PF Act, tax laws, and other applicable regulations
- Prepare case files and writs; coordinate with empanelled lawyers and legal counsel
- Assist in arbitration proceedings, court cases, and service matter disputes
- Manage RTI matters and public grievance cases
- Monitor legal risks and advise management on legal matters affecting the Corporation
- Maintain legal records, case registers, and correspondence related to all legal matters

Minimum Qualification
