Reservation for Uttarakhand's SC, ST, OBC, EWS candidates, ex-servicemen, dependents of freedom fighters, persons with disabilities, and Uttarakhand women is applicable as per state government norms. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must meet the minimum qualifications for medical teachers as per the NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications (TEQ) Regulations dated 30 June 2025, in the relevant specialty for the post you apply for.
• Registration: You need a valid and renewed registration certificate with any State Medical Council in India, valid up to the last date of the online application.
• Preference: If you have at least two years of service in the Territorial Army, or hold an NCC "B" Certificate, you get preference over equally qualified candidates.
• Non-Medical Candidates: In Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pharmacology, non-medical (non-doctor) candidates will be considered only if MD/MS/DNB qualified medical teacher candidates are not available for that post.
• Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen, or fall under specific categories of Tibetan refugees, or persons of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda or Tanzania with the intention of settling permanently in India.
• NOC: If you are already working regularly in a Central or State Government job, you must submit a departmental No Objection Certificate along with your application.
• Reservation Proof: SC/ST candidates need a caste certificate issued by a competent authority in Uttarakhand, and OBC candidates need a certificate issued as per Government Order No. 310/XVII-2/16-02(OBC)/2012 dated 26 February 2016, valid within three years of the application deadline.
• Ex-servicemen Reservation: This benefit is available only to those who personally served and were released from the armed forces - dependents of ex-servicemen are not eligible for this specific reservation.
• Uttarakhand Women Reservation: Only women holding a permanent resident certificate of Uttarakhand, who have marked "Uttarakhand Women" in the relevant sub-category of the online form, are considered under this quota.

Age Limit

• Associate Professor: You should be between 30 and 62 years old as on 01 July 2025.
• Professor: You should be between 35 and 62 years old as on 01 July 2025.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC candidates of Uttarakhand, dependents of freedom fighters, and persons with disabilities get a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit. Ex-servicemen get relaxation equal to their length of military service, subject to conditions.

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month under Pay Level 14.
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,31,100 to Rs. 2,16,600 per month under Pay Level 13.
• Doctors posted in hill areas like Srinagar and Almora get an additional 50% hill allowance under the Medical Teachers Deficiency Compensatory Scheme, as per Uttarakhand Government Order No. 79293/XXVIII(5)/2022-(E-22311) dated 28 November 2022.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Uttarakhand government rules.

Selection Process
