All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh Research Scientist-I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

AIIMS Rishikesh, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has released a notification to fill 1 Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) post for its extramural research project titled "Identification of the Clinical Phenotypes and Comparison of the Risk Factors of Thiamine Deficiency in Various Regions of India". This vacancy has opened up after the previous incumbent resigned in July 2026, and AIIMS Rishikesh wants to fill it quickly to keep the project on track. This is a purely contractual position under the Department of Geriatric Medicine, and the engagement runs for 1 to 2 years or until the project ends (the project itself started on 1 March 2025 and concludes on 28 February 2028). Candidates from a science, statistics, or engineering background with an interest in clinical research should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: First Class Post Graduate Degree (Master's), OR a Second Class Post Graduate Degree along with a PhD, in a relevant subject.
• For Engineering candidates: First Class Graduate Degree (4-year B.E./B.Tech) from IIT or an equivalent premier institute.
• Preference: Candidates with a post-graduate degree in Computer Science, M.Tech, Statistics, or MPH, along with prior experience of working on a research project, will be preferred.
• Desirable skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with knowledge of statistical tools; experience in data collection, data analysis and report writing; and good written and oral communication skills.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for this post is 35 years.

Salary

• You will get a fixed salary of Rs. 56,000 per month (third-year rate), with 5% annual increments as per ICMR guidelines.
• You will also get HRA as applicable.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following:

1. Shortlisting of applications based on qualification and experience.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at the Department of Geriatric Medicine (Level 6, Block A), AIIMS Rishikesh.
