The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh has invited applications for 4 contractual posts at its Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF). This facility runs under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR), supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and coordinated by NDDTC, AIIMS Delhi. All posts are purely contractual for 11 months and may be extended as per the ATF scheme policy. The engagement can be ended with one month notice from either side, and your work and conduct will be reviewed from time to time.

Who Can Apply?

Each post has its own qualification requirement. Check the details for the post you want before you apply.

Counsellor (1 Post)

• Qualification: Graduate in Psychology, Social Work or Sociology. A Master degree in these subjects is preferred.

Nurse (2 Posts)

• Qualification: ANM. GNM or BSc Nursing is preferred.

Data Manager (1 Post)

• Qualification: Graduate, preferably with a qualification or experience in computer applications.

Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee selection. The prescribed qualification is the minimum requirement only.

Salary

• Counsellor: Minimum Rs. 20,000 per month.
• Nurse: Minimum Rs. 15,000 per month.
• Data Manager: Minimum Rs. 15,000 per month.

The pay is as per NHM norms and the ATF scheme, and may be revised as per prevailing NHM norms of Uttarakhand, subject to approval from the funding agency.

Selection Process

Selection is through a walk-in interview:

1. Application by Email: Send your filled application in the prescribed format (Annexure I) by email before the last date.
2. Walk-in Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the date and time through the AIIMS website, email or phone. The interview is held at the Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Rishikesh.
3. Document Verification: Bring the hard copy of your submitted application form along with all original supporting documents.

No travel or other allowance is paid for attending the interview.

2. Attach copies of your education, experience and identity documents.
3. Email your completed application to atf@aiimsrishikesh.edu.in.
4. Make sure it reaches before 5:00 PM on 22 July 2026.

Applications sent in any other format, submitted offline, or received after the last date and time will be rejected.

Incomplete applications will be rejected without any intimation, and the decision of the Selection Committee at AIIMS Rishikesh will be final.

• Assist the medical officer in assessing and diagnosing patients with substance use disorders.
• Provide counselling, motivation and regular one-to-one and group sessions for patients and families.
• Dispense medicines as prescribed by the doctor and provide first-aid when needed.
• Register new and follow-up patients and prepare their clinical files.
• Maintain patient, dispensing and stock records and prepare monthly reports under the scheme.
• Conduct community awareness activities and build links with NGOs to improve help-seeking.
• Support referrals to higher centres for other health and social needs of patients.
