This walk-in interview is held every month on the 3rd Wednesday, and the July 2026 round takes place on 29 July 2026. Doctors with MBBS or a PG degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the required specialty can walk in directly with their documents.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Resident (1 or 3 Years) - Pay Level-11, Rs. 67,700/month:

• Qualification: MBBS from an NMC/MCI/State Medical Council recognized institution, plus a Postgraduate Diploma/Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant discipline
• Registration: You must be registered with the National Medical Council or Madhya Pradesh Medical Council
• Alternate route: MBBS with 2 years of experience (including 1 year in the concerned specialty from a government or private hospital, not a private clinic) can apply for the 1-year Senior Resident post

For Full Time / Part Time Specialist - Rs. 67,700/month (Full Time) or Rs. 60,000+/month (Part Time):

• Qualification: MBBS plus a Postgraduate Degree/Diploma (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant discipline, registered with NMC/State Medical Council
• Experience: 3 years' experience after a PG Degree, or 5 years' experience after a PG Diploma, in the concerned specialty

Age Limit

• For Senior Resident posts, your age should not exceed 45 years as on the date of interview.
• For Specialist posts, your age should not exceed 67 years as on the date of interview.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates get age relaxation as per DoPT rules.

Salary

• Senior Resident (1/3 Years): Entry pay of Rs. 67,700 per month (Level-11) plus other allowances, on a no-work-no-pay basis.
• Full Time Specialist: Entry pay of Rs. 67,700 per month (Level-11) plus allowances.
• Part Time Specialist: Rs. 60,000 per month for a 4-hour session over 4 days a week, plus Rs. 15,000 if you agree to be available for emergency call duty. Extra hours beyond 16 hours a week are paid at Rs. 800 per hour.

Application Fee

• SC / ST / Female Candidates / Ex-Servicemen / PH Candidates: No fee
• All Other Categories: Rs. 500 (via Demand Draft in favor of "ESI Fund Account No.1", payable at Gwalior)

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

There is no written exam for these posts. Selection is through direct interview and document verification:

1. Walk-in Interview: Held at the Medical Superintendent's office, ESIC Hospital, Gwalior.
2. Document Verification: Bring your original certificates and one set of self-attested copies.
3. Medical Fitness Certificate: Your selection is subject to a fitness certificate from the Medical Board at ESIC Hospital Gwalior.
