Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released notification No. 532/GLBMC/A/12/12/RCT-SR/2025 for 43 Senior Resident posts on a contractual basis at ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Kalaburagi, Karnataka. The vacancies are spread across 20 departments, including Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Radiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and the ICU/NICU/PICU units. There is no written exam — selection is based only on a walk-in interview, which makes this a good opportunity for doctors who have recently finished their postgraduate degree. The engagement is for one year and is open to candidates who have not already completed 3 years as a Senior Resident in any government institution.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned subject to apply for any department.
• Special Note: For MICU postings, candidates with General Medicine and Emergency Medicine background are considered. For SICU and CCU postings, candidates with Anaesthesia and Emergency Medicine background are considered.
• Not Eligible: Candidates serving a bond under any government institution, and those who have already completed 3 years as Senior Resident in any government institution, cannot apply.

Age Limit

• You should be below 44 years of age (for all categories) as on the date of interview, 30 July 2026.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 1,42,170 per month, plus TA and DA on TA as applicable.
• No other allowances like DA, NPA, or HRA are payable separately, and private practice is not allowed during the tenure.

• All other categories: Rs. 300
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of "ESI Corporation" payable at Kalaburagi, submitted along with the application form at the time of the walk-in interview.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Document Verification: Held on 29 July 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
2. Personal Interview: Held on 30 July 2026 from 9:00 AM onwards, conducted by the selection board.
3. Medical Examination and Certificate Verification: Selected candidates must report for a medical fitness check and verification of original certificates.

You need at least 50% of the total marks to be eligible for selection. A waiting list valid for 2 months from the result date will also be prepared.

3. Walk-in and register for document verification between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on 29 July 2026.
4. Carry all original certificates with one set of self-attested photocopies, 2 passport-size photographs, and a Demand Draft for the fee (if applicable).
5. Report at the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College, Kalaburagi, by 9:00 AM on the scheduled date.
6. Appear for the personal interview on 30 July 2026.
