  • Qualification: Ph.D. in Life Sciences or Health Sciences.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in preclinical disease model development, clinical sample collection, processing, biobanking and clinical trial conduct.
  • Desirable: Clinical trial initiation, patient recruitment, informed consent, and ethics committee submission experience.

For Scientific Assistant 'B' - Anesthesia (Level 6 - Rs. 35,400/month):

  • Qualification: B.Sc with 50% marks plus a 1-year certificate/diploma in ICU / OT Techniques / Respiratory Therapy / Dialysis Techniques, OR a Bachelor's degree in Paramedical Technology (OT Techniques / Respiratory Therapy) with 50% marks.
  • Desirable: 1 year of ICU/OT technician experience; dialysis experience is a plus.

For Scientific Assistant 'B' - Hematopathology (Level 6 - Rs. 35,400/month):

  • Qualification: B.Sc in Biological Sciences (including Biotechnology) with 50% marks plus a Degree/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and 1 year experience in a busy Haemato-pathology Lab, OR B.Sc (MLT) with 50% marks and 2 years' experience in a busy Haemato-pathology Lab.
  • Preference given to candidates with an M.Sc and experience in flow cytometry.

For Scientific Assistant 'B' - Pathology (Level 6 - Rs. 35,400/month):

  • Qualification: B.Sc (Botany/Zoology/Chemistry/Applied Biology/Biology/Biotechnology) with 50% marks plus a Degree/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, OR B.Sc (MLT), from a government-recognized institute.
  • Experience: 1 year of working experience in a Pathology Laboratory (2 years if you hold a B.Sc MLT).
  • Desirable: Basic computer skills and good working knowledge of English.

For Scientific Assistant 'B' - Radiodiagnosis (Level 6 - Rs. 35,400/month):

  • Qualification: B.Sc (Radiological Imaging Technology) with 50% marks, OR B.Sc in any subject/B.Pharmacy with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year internship/experience from a large hospital, with experience in CT and MRI.

Age Limit

  • Upper age limit is 45 years for Medical Physicist, 40 years for Scientific Officer 'D', and 30 years for all Scientific Assistant posts — all as on 7 August 2026.
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwD (plus 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC PwD candidates), and length of armed forces service plus 3 years for Ex-servicemen.

Salary

  • Medical Physicist 'E': Rs. 78,800 per month under Level 12 (7th CPC).
  • Scientific Officer 'D': Rs. 67,700 per month under Level 11 (7th CPC).
  • Scientific Assistant 'B' (all disciplines): Rs. 35,400 per month under Level 6 (7th CPC).

Responsibilities

  • Operate and calibrate radiotherapy treatment planning systems and imaging equipment as per your specialization

B.Sc with Diploma/Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (Scientific Assistant posts) up to Ph.D. in Life Sciences/Health Sciences (Scientific Officer) or M.Sc Physics with Diploma in Radiological Physics (Medical Physicist) - varies by post

Preferred Qualification

Programming skills in C++/MATLAB/Python (Medical Physicist); M.Sc with flow cytometry experience (Hematopathology); basic computer skills and English (Pathology)
