ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad has released an advertisement for one Lab Assistant / Data Entry Operator (Grade A) post under its Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU), a project funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Government of India. The engagement is purely temporary and contractual, initially for one year and extendable based on project continuation, availability of funds, and your performance. Candidates with the right lab/DEO background can apply — you just need a B.Sc. degree plus one year of relevant experience. The MRU is located at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, NH-3, NIT, Faridabad, Haryana – 121001, and this project is jointly overseen by the Department of Health Research (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare) and ESIC (Ministry of Labour & Employment). ESIC runs a network of hospitals and medical colleges that provide health insurance benefits to India's organized-sector workers, and this Faridabad medical college is one such institution hosting the DHR-backed research unit. Your one-year tenure can be extended subject to satisfactory performance, continuation of the project, availability of funds, and approval of the competent authority.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with 1 year of relevant experience as a Laboratory Assistant / Data Entry Operator in a clinical or research laboratory (Government, Autonomous body, PSU, or other recognized organization).
• Desirable: Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications.
• Desirable: Data evaluation experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Desirable: Typing speed of at least 8,000 key depressions per hour (or 15,000 key depressions per hour in a speed test).
• Desirable: Experience in medical record keeping, filing research documents, and office-related work.
• Note: Your 1 year of experience can be from a Government, Autonomous body, PSU or any other recognized organization's clinical or research laboratory. These desirable skills give you an edge during shortlisting, though they are not mandatory.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 30 years as on the last date of application.
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a monthly pay of Rs. 20,000.
• The advertisement does not mention any additional allowances beyond this monthly pay.

Selection Process

ESIC will select the candidate through the following steps:

1. Shortlisting of applications based on the eligibility criteria.
2. Interview / Skill Test — date, time and venue will be notified on the ESIC website and by email.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining the post, and mere fulfillment of eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection.
