Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRC) — a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh that operates the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Corridor — has released Advt. No. NMRC/HR/Rectt./04/2026 dated 17 July 2026 to hire 1 Young Professional (Legal). This is a direct contract engagement and not a permanent government job — your initial tenure will be for one year, extendable one year at a time, up to a maximum of three years based on your performance and NMRC's requirement. NMRC needs an experienced legal professional who can independently handle litigation, documentation, contract drafting, and statutory compliance work for the corporation.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a full-time Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized University or Institute — either a 3-year regular course after graduation, or a 5-year integrated regular course.
• Experience: You must have 4 years or more of post-qualification work experience in handling legal cases, legal documentation, contract drafting, and statutory compliance under various Acts, RTI, etc. Self-practice as an advocate does not count toward this experience — only work with government bodies, government sector bodies, law firms, professional firms, LLPs, or reputed private companies is considered.
• Preference: Candidates who have worked in the government sector will get preference over others.
• Nationality: You must be a citizen of India.
• Reservation: This post is Unreserved (UR) — open to all communities on merit.
• Engagement type: This is a full-time contractual role — you cannot take up any other assignment during your engagement period.

Age Limit

• Your age should not exceed 35 years as on the closing date of 14 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Since this post is Unreserved (UR), SC/ST/OBC(NCL) candidates applying against it will be considered on general merit — no age relaxation applies here. A relaxation of 5 years (SC/ST) and 3 years (OBC-NCL) is only available for posts specifically reserved for those categories.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated, fixed salary of Rs. 50,000 per month.
• You will also get a 5% annual increment on your consolidated pay.
• EPF and Gratuity will be deducted and contributed on the minimum threshold of Rs. 15,000 as specified under the EPF Act, and TDS will be deducted as per Income Tax rules.
• You will get 1.5 days of casual leave per month plus 2 restricted holidays, credited in advance every January and July.
• Place of Posting: NMRC Headquarters, Noida — though NMRC reserves the right to post you at any of its offices, branches, or consultancy offices across India.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Shortlisting: NMRC will screen applications based on your qualification and experience. Merely meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee you an interview call.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by the Selection Committee. Call letters and further information will be sent only by email, so keep checking your inbox regularly.

NMRC reserves the right to upgrade the eligibility criteria or increase/decrease the number of vacancies at its discretion if it receives a large number of applications, without assigning any reason. Termination clause: Either side can end the engagement by giving 30 days' notice (or pay in lieu of notice).
