If you have a Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or Electronics (or a B.E./B.Tech in a related engineering field) along with relevant work experience, you can attend the walk-in interview on 31 July 2026 — there is no online application for this post. Selected candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 56,000 per month.

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) System Analyst Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has invited candidates through a walk-in interview to fill 1 System Analyst post under the PAC-approved programme PRAYAAS (Promotion of Research Attitude in Young and Aspiring Students), run by the Department of Education in Science and Mathematics (DESM). This is a purely contractual, project-based engagement, not a permanent government job. PRAYAAS itself lets school students from Classes 9 to 11 carry out STEAM research projects with mentorship from teachers and experts, and this System Analyst role supports the technology backbone of that scheme. No online registration is required — you simply need to show up at the venue on the interview date with all your documents.

Who Can Apply?

NCERT has kept two separate qualification routes open for this post — check which one fits your degree before you turn up for the interview.

Option 1 - Master's Degree Route:

  • You need a Master's Degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Communication Engineering, ICT, or M.Tech from a recognized university, OR M.Sc. in Physics with Wireless Communication/Electronics as a special subject
  • Along with 3 years of post-qualification experience in programming or information systems in a Government office, PSU, Autonomous Body, Statutory Body, or in TV/broadcasting studio operations and maintenance

Option 2 - Engineering Degree Route:

  • You need a BE/B.Tech in Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, or Information Technology from a recognized university/institute
  • Along with 4 years of post-qualification experience in programming or information systems in a Government office, PSU, Autonomous Body, Statutory Body, or any recognized institution

Note: Only candidates who already meet the minimum qualification and experience requirement on or before the interview date are eligible — if your qualification result is still awaited, you should not apply. Time spent pursuing M.Phil. or Ph.D. does not count toward your experience.

Age Limit

  • You should be not more than 45 years old.
  • Age Relaxation: Retired officers from Government organisations can apply up to 65 years of age. Further relaxation applies as per Government of India norms for reserved categories.

Salary

  • The selected System Analyst will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 56,000 per month.
  • The engagement is temporary and contractual, valid up to 31 March 2027.
  • No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview or for joining the position.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

You are selected directly through a walk-in interview — there is no written test:

  1. Registration: Report to the venue and register between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM on the interview date. No candidate reporting after 10:30 AM is registered.
  2. Document Verification: Bring your original certificates along with self-attested photocopies — no photocopying facility is available at the venue, so carry your own copies.
  3. Walk-in Interview: A panel reviews your qualification, experience and suitability for the System Analyst role.

If you are already working elsewhere, you must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current employer. Candidates claiming experience must also bring supporting documents such as salary slips, bank statements, or ITR copies — without these, you will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

How to Apply

  1. Download the application form format from the official NCERT notification.
  2. Fill in your personal, educational and experience details in the prescribed format.
