NCERT Data Analyst Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is engaging a Data Analyst for its Department of Gender Studies (DGS) in New Delhi. The role supports the research project "A Study of the Integration of Gender Concerns in the Pedagogical Practices in DIETs across India in the light of National Education Policy 2020" (project code 4.01). It is a short, purely temporary project engagement of two months, filled through a walk-in interview. If you have spent years handling large survey datasets and are comfortable with tools like SPSS, R or Python, this is a focused assignment at a national education body.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Temporary engagement: The pay is purely temporary and does not give you any claim to a regular job in NCERT.
  • Tenure: The engagement runs for two months under the DGS project.
  • Retired government staff: People who have retired from a Government organisation get a higher age ceiling, so experienced retirees can apply too.
  • Experience proof: If the experience you claim comes from a position with a consolidated pay of Rs. 68,000 or more, you must show an attested salary slip, bank statement or ITR at the interview.
  • Working candidates: Forward your application through your current employer or hand in a No Objection Certificate before the interview.
  • Travel costs: NCERT pays no TA/DA for attending the interview.
  • Joining: The selected candidate must join immediately.
