National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) SRA & JPF Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), through its Department of Education in Languages (DEL), has invited applications for 1 Senior Research Associate and 2 Junior Project Fellows to work on two ongoing projects — developing syllabus and textual materials in Sanskrit and in Urdu. These are purely temporary, project-based positions with tenure up to 31 March 2027, and selection is entirely through a walk-in interview, with no online application form to fill. Postgraduates in Sanskrit or Urdu looking for research and content-development experience with NCERT should attend.
The Department of Education in Languages develops school-level syllabus, textbooks, and teaching-learning material in Indian languages, including Sanskrit and Urdu, that schools use across the country. Working here as an SRA or JPF gives you hands-on experience in curriculum design, content review, and academic writing — valuable if you're aiming for a long-term career in education research, language teaching, or curriculum development.
Vacancy Breakdown
| Post Name | Vacancies | Project | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Senior Research Associate (SRA) | 1 | Syllabus & Textual Materials in Sanskrit | PG in Sanskrit, 55%+ marks |
| Junior Project Fellow (JPF) | 2 | Syllabus & Textual Materials in Urdu | PG in Urdu, 55% (50% for SC/ST/PH) |
Both projects are part of NCERT's ongoing work to prepare updated syllabus and textual material in Indian languages, so the content you help develop could shape what students study in Sanskrit and Urdu classrooms nationwide.
