About This Job
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is hiring 13 temporary project staff posts in the Department of Elementary Education, New Delhi. The notice covers 4 Senior Research Associate (SRA) posts and 9 Junior Project Fellow (JPF) posts for PAC projects approved for 2026-27. If you have a relevant postgraduate degree in education, language, mathematics, environmental studies, child development or social science, you can attend the walk-in interview. NCERT SRA and JPF Recruitment 2026 - 13 Posts
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has issued a walk-in notice for project staff in the Department of Elementary Education (DEE). These posts support school education projects linked to textbooks, Balvatika, toy-based pedagogy, ITEP resources, Hindi video programmes and Mission LiFE material. Who Can Apply?
Junior Project Fellow
- Qualification: You need a PG degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks for General category or 50% marks for SC, ST or PH category.
- Relevant subjects: Education, Mathematics Education, Mathematics, English, Hindi, Psychology, Social Science, Early Childhood Education, Journalism and Mass Communication, Environmental Studies, Environmental Education, Environmental Science, Science, Geography or Language as per the project.
- Desirable skills: Computer knowledge, MS Office, data processing, report preparation, good communication skills and Hindi knowledge where mentioned.
Senior Research Associate
- Qualification: You need a PG degree with at least 55% marks in the project subject such as Education, Social Science, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Hindi, English, Biology, Environmental Science, Psychology or ECCE.
- Experience: SRA posts need 2 years of experience in research, teaching, training, extension activities, content development, module development or school education work as listed for the project.
- Proof of experience: For SRA posts, carry proof such as salary slip, bank statement or ITR if experience is an essential condition.
Age Limit
- Junior Project Fellow: Maximum age is 40 years.
- Senior Research Associate: Maximum age is 45 years.
- Age relaxation: Relaxation will be given as per Government of India norms.
- Degree awaited: Candidates whose degree result is awaited should not apply.
Salary
- Junior Project Fellow with NET or Ph.D.: Rs. 37,000 per month consolidated.
- Junior Project Fellow without NET or Ph.D.: Rs. 35,000 per month consolidated.
- Senior Research Associate with NET or Ph.D.: Rs. 42,000 per month consolidated.
- Senior Research Associate without NET: Rs. 40,000 per month consolidated.
