NCERT is hiring 8 project staff posts in the Department of Educational Psychology and Foundations of Education, New Delhi. National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has issued a notice dated 15 June 2026 for temporary project staff in DEPFE. The notice covers 3 Senior Research Associate and 5 Junior Project Fellow posts across PAC-approved projects for 2026-27. There is no written exam; selection will happen through document checking and walk-in interview at NCERT, New Delhi.

Who Can Apply?

Senior Research Associate - 3 Posts

• Qualification: You need a PG degree in the subject area listed for the project.
• Relevant subjects: Psychology, Education, Human Development, Social Work or Philosophy are mentioned across the SRA projects.
• Marks: You need 55% marks for General category and 50% marks for SC, ST and PH candidates.
• Experience: You need 2 years of relevant experience for SRA posts.
• Desirable skills: Computer knowledge, MS Office, data processing, report preparation, communication skills and SPSS are useful for these roles.

Junior Project Fellow - 5 Posts

• Qualification: You need a PG degree in the relevant subject for the project.
• Relevant subjects: Psychology, Education, Sociology, Social Work or Human Development are mentioned for JPF posts.
• Marks: You need 55% marks for General category and 50% marks for SC, ST and PH candidates.
• Desirable skills: Computer knowledge, MS Office, data processing, report preparation and good communication skills are preferred.

Age Limit

• Junior Project Fellow: Below 40 years.
• Senior Research Associate: Below 45 years.
• Age relaxation: Relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• SRA with NET/Ph.D.: Rs. 42,000 per month.
• SRA Non-NET: Rs. 40,000 per month.
• JPF with NET/Ph.D.: Rs. 37,000 per month.
• JPF Non-NET: Rs. 35,000 per month.
• Tenure: The posts are temporary and contractual up to 31 March 2027.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through walk-in interview and document verification. The notice does not mention any written test for these posts.

1. Registration: Reach NCERT and register between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM on 25 June 2026.
2. Late reporting cut-off: Candidates appearing after 11:00 AM will not be considered.
3. Document Verification: Bring original certificates, self-attested photocopies and all related documents.
4. Walk-in Interview: Attend the interview at GB Pant Block, 5th Floor, NCERT.
5. Final joining: The selected candidate may need to join immediately.
