NCERT is hiring 1 Senior Research Associate (SRA) and 2 Junior Project Fellows (JPF) in the International Relations Division, New Delhi. National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), International Relations Division, has issued a notice dated 8 June 2026 for temporary project staff for the academic year 2026-27. The notice covers three PAC projects on quality monitoring in school education, global education initiatives by BRICS, G20 and ASEAN, and a booklet on contemporary education in India. Who Can Apply?

Senior Research Associate - 1 Post

• NET/Ph.D. route: NET in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification/Ph.D. is required as mentioned in the notice.
• Experience: You need 2 years of relevant experience.
• Desirable: Basic computer knowledge, MS Office, research methodology, data processing and report preparation are desirable.

Junior Project Fellow - 2 Posts

• Qualification: You need a Master's Degree in Education, Social Science, International Relations or a relevant discipline.
• Marks: Minimum marks are 55% for General and 50% for SC/ST/PH candidates.
• Desirable: Ph.D. or M.Phil in the concerned area, computer knowledge, research methodology, data processing, report preparation and good communication skills are desirable.

Age Limit

• Senior Research Associate: Not more than 45 years.
• Junior Project Fellow: Not more than 40 years.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• SRA with NET/Ph.D.: Rs. 42,000 per month consolidated.
• SRA Non-NET: Rs. 40,000 per month consolidated, as stated in the notice.
• JPF with NET/Ph.D.: Rs. 37,000 per month consolidated.
• JPF Non-NET: Rs. 35,000 per month consolidated.
• Tenure: The engagement is for 10 months or till 31 March 2027, whichever is earlier.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

Selection is through a walk-in interview. The notification does not mention a written exam.

1. Registration: Registration starts at 9:30 AM on 2 July 2026.
2. Late entry cutoff: No candidate will be entertained after 11:30 AM.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates and self-attested photocopies will be checked at the time of interview.
4. Interview: The interview starts at 10:30 AM in Room No. 412, Zakir Hussain Block, NCERT.
