Who Can Apply?

Junior Project Fellow - 7 Posts

  • For PAC 15.02: You need a Master's degree in English or MLISc with at least 55% marks. SC, ST and PH candidates need 50% marks.
  • For PAC 15.03: You need MLISc or a Master's degree in Education with the same marks condition, plus working experience on OJS, web tools or content development tools.
  • For PAC 15.04: You need MLISc or a Master's degree in Education with the same marks condition, plus working experience in DSpace software for institutional repositories.
  • Desirable skills: Library management software, DSpace, OJS platform, editing, course content development and teaching experience are useful depending on the project.

Visual Analyser - 2 Posts

  • PG route: You need a PG degree in Computer Application, Computer Science, Computer Technology or M.Tech with specialisation in Computer Application and at least 55% marks, plus 2 years experience in electronic data processing or computer programming.
  • Engineering route: You can also apply with B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, a bachelor's degree in Computer Applications/Computer Science, or Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering, plus 3 years experience in electronic data processing or computer programming.
  • Desirable skills: MLISc with 55% marks, DSpace, database development, mobile application development and Open Journal System knowledge are preferred.

Age Limit

  • Junior Project Fellow: Below 40 years as per UGC guidelines.
  • Visual Analyser: Not more than 45 years; retired persons from government organisations can apply up to 65 years.
  • Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Salary

  • JPF with NET/Ph.D.: Rs. 37,000 per month consolidated.
  • JPF Non-NET: Rs. 35,000 per month consolidated.
  • Visual Analyser: Rs. 50,000 per month consolidated.
  • Tenure: The engagement is temporary and can continue up to 31 March 2027, subject to project needs.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

Selection is through document verification and a walk-in interview. The NCERT notice does not mention any written test for these posts.

  1. Registration: Reach the venue and complete registration between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
  2. Document Verification: Carry original certificates, experience proof and self-attested copies for checking.
  3. Interview: JPF interviews are on 29 June 2026 at 11:00 AM, and Visual Analyser interviews are on 30 June 2026 at 11:00 AM.
  4. Final selection: NCERT will select candidates based on the walk-in process and project requirement.

  6. Report to the Conference Room, Library and Documentation Division, G.B. Pant Block, 1st Floor, NCERT before 11:00 AM on the correct interview date.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. If your degree result is awaited, do not apply because the notice clearly requires completed qualifications.

For JPF posts, SC, ST and PH candidates can apply with 50% marks in the relevant master's degree. For Visual Analyser posts, the notice asks for completed qualifications and relevant computer programming or data processing experience.
