NCERT is hiring 21 project staff for the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) in New Delhi under PAC-approved projects. If you have a Master's degree (or 4-year graduation in design for the 3D post), you can apply on a purely contractual basis initially up to 31 March 2027. NCERT CIET Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 - 21 Posts under PAC Projects

The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), has issued Advertisement No. 01/CIET/2026-27 to fill 21 contractual posts across multiple PAC-approved research and development projects. The selected candidates will work at CIET-NCERT, New Delhi-110016. The selection is purely through walk-in interview — there is no written exam. Projects include AI literacy research, multilingual learning platforms for 22 Indian languages, educational media development, Indian Knowledge System integration, and NEP 2020-aligned digital education studies.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Research Fellow / Senior Research Associate (SRF/SRA) - 8 Posts

• Education: Postgraduate degree with 55% marks in relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications. Specific projects need PG in Education (M.Ed./M.A. Education/Educational Technology) or related fields; one project needs Computer Science/Computer Application/M.Tech in Electronics/IT.
• Experience: Two years of relevant experience in research, development of research tools, data collection and analysis, or report writing

For Junior Project Fellow (JPF) - 12 Posts

• Education: Postgraduate degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks for General and 50% for SC/ST/PH candidates
• Desirable: Basic computer knowledge, MS Office, SPSS/data processing skills, good communication skills

For 3D Graphic Developer/Animator/Graphic Designer - 1 Post

• Education: Graduation in Fine Arts / Graphic Design / Design / Animation / Applied Arts (4-year degree), OR any graduate degree with a one-year diploma in Graphics / Animation / Computer Application / Media Production / Mass Communication
• Experience: Three years post-qualification working experience in the relevant area
• Desirable: Experience in development of media/IT content, working with media/ICT for children and education, computer graphics, book design, interface design

Age Limit

• SRF/SRA: Not more than 45 years (relaxation as per GoI norms)
• JPF: Not more than 40 years (relaxation as per GoI norms)
• 3D Graphic Designer: Not more than 45 years (up to 65 years for retired government employees, relaxation as per GoI norms)

Salary

• SRF/SRA: Rs. 42,000 per month (NET/Ph.D.) or Rs. 40,000 per month (Non-NET) - consolidated
• JPF: Rs. 37,000 per month (NET/Ph.D.) or Rs. 35,000 per month (Non-NET) - consolidated
• 3D Graphic Designer: Rs. 50,000 per month - consolidated
• All posts are purely contractual initially up to 31 March 2027

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview - No Written Exam)

Selection is purely through walk-in interview at CIET-NCERT, New Delhi:

1. Application Submission: Fill the online application form via the QR code in the advertisement before 28 May 2026, 12:00 p.m.
2. Document Verification: Report with original certificates and bio-data on the interview date
3. Walk-in Interview: Conducted at Section Officer (SO), Planning & Research Division (P&RD), Room No. 242, CIET 2nd floor, Chacha Nehru Bhawan, CIET-NCERT, New Delhi-110016

Candidates must report by 9:00 a.m. on the interview date. No candidate will be allowed after 10:00 a.m. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Important Notes:

• Candidates claiming experience with remuneration of Rs. 40,000 or above must submit attested salary slips/bank statements/ITR
• Time spent pursuing M.Phil. or Ph.D. does NOT count as teaching/research experience
• Currently employed candidates must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer
• Candidates should bring along their written/published work, scripts, story boards, artwork, multimedia samples, etc.

• Develop syllabi, textbooks and faculty development materials aligned with NCFSE 2023 and NEP 2020
• Integrate Indian Knowledge System into curriculum through graphic novels and animated videos
• Support multilingual learning platform development for 22 scheduled Indian languages
