Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd. (MRVC) is hiring 2 Project Engineers (Bridge) on a contractual basis. MRVC Project Engineer (Bridge) Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts

Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd. (MRVC), a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, was incorporated on 12 July 1999 to execute projects under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP). Through Notification No. MRVC/E/PE/17/2026 dated 15-04-2026, MRVC is looking for engineers with hands-on experience in inspection of steel fabrication work at RDSO-approved workshops or steel fabrication and erection work in Railway/PSU/Metro/NHAI projects. Both Diploma holders and degree holders can apply — with different experience requirements for each.

Who Can Apply?

Mandatory Qualification

• Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering from an AICTE-recognized university with minimum 60% marks.
• Rounding off is not allowed — for example, 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%.

Desirable Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering with minimum 60% marks from an AICTE-recognized university (preferred over Diploma).

Experience Required

• Diploma holders: Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in inspection of steel fabrication work at RDSO-approved workshops, or steel fabrication and erection work in Railway/PSU/Metro/NHAI projects.
• B.E./B.Tech holders: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in the same field.
• Steel fabrication means fabrication of steel OWG / Plate Girders for Railway/Metro/Road and ensuring quality by QAP/WPSS/WPQR.

Other Requirements

• Proficiency in MS Office is desirable.
• Candidates must not be colour blind.

Age Limit

• You should be 35 years or younger as on the date of issue of the vacancy notification (15 April 2026).
• No minimum age limit is stated in the notification.

Salary

• Pay Scale: IDA Equivalent E1 grade — Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,40,000
• Basic Pay: Rs. 40,000 per month
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Cafeteria of Allowances, House Rent Allowance, Consolidated Travelling Allowance, Provident Fund (employer's share)

• Leave: 8 Casual Leave, 2 Restricted Holidays, 10 days Sick Leave (half pay with commutation provision), and 12 Special Leave per year
• After 1 year of satisfactory performance, you will be designated as Senior Project Engineer (Bridge) with a 3% increment in perks
• Pay protection will be given to candidates already working in IDA E1 grade or equivalent.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection happens in 3 stages:

1. Preliminary Screening: All applications received by email/mail will be screened for eligibility based on qualification and experience.
2. Shortlisting: If the number of eligible applications is more than 5 times the notified vacancies (i.e., more than 10), only the top candidates based on engineering marks and experience will be called for the next stage.
3. Document Verification and Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for original document verification. A nominated committee will then conduct a personal interview. You must score minimum 60% marks in the interview to qualify.

Final selection is based on merit — your qualification, post-qualification work experience, and interview performance. No TA/DA will be paid for attending document verification or interview.

5. Make sure your application is strictly as per the prescribed Annexure-I format — incomplete or improperly filled applications will be rejected.
6. Before joining, you will need to execute a Surety Bond of Rs. 1 Lakh on Rs. 500 stamp paper to serve MRVC for at least 2 years.

• Inspect steel fabrication work at RDSO-approved workshops for quality and compliance with QAP/WPSS/WPQR standards.
• Monitor fabrication and erection of steel OWG/Plate Girders for Railway, Metro, and road bridge projects.
• Coordinate with contractors and site engineers on steel fabrication and erection activities across Mumbai suburban rail projects.
• Prepare inspection reports, measurement sheets, and technical documentation for bridge works.
• Ensure that all steel structures meet Railway Board specifications and RDSO guidelines.
• Assist in reviewing drawings and technical specifications for bridge components before fabrication begins.
• Report project progress and flag non-conformances to senior engineers for corrective action.
