Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRCL), a company under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has issued Vacancy Circular No. RE-10/2026 dated 04 June 2026. The vacancy is for Joint General Manager (Electrical) on a re-employment annual contract basis at Mumbai. This post is meant for experienced retired electrical officers who have worked on railway and infrastructure electrical systems.

IPRCL is a joint venture company formed by major ports and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited to improve rail evacuation systems for ports. The selected officer will work on infrastructure-related electrical work and support IPRCL project delivery from Mumbai.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible Service Background

• Retired / VR Officers: Officers who have taken voluntary retirement or retired on superannuation can apply.
• Eligible Organisations: Railways, other government departments, Central PSUs, ports, and JV companies under government control.
• Experience Area: You must have service experience in execution of infrastructure projects.

Pay Level Requirement

• CDA Scale: Retired/VR officers should have been in PB-3 + GP 7600 under 6th CPC, revised to Level 12 under 7th CPC.
• IDA Scale: Retired/VR officers should have been in E-5 level, earlier Rs. 32,900-58,000, revised to Rs. 80,000-2,20,000.
• Important Note: Higher pay granted only through ACP/MACP will not be counted for eligibility.

Specific Electrical Experience

• You should have working experience in Railway Electric Traction Projects.
• Experience in general power supply, air conditioning, building electrification, and road lighting is also relevant.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 63 years.
• Age, experience, and eligibility will be counted as on the last date of receiving applications, 24 June 2026.

Salary

• Pay scale / level: E-5, Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 2,20,000.
• Selected candidate will be placed at starting basic pay of Rs. 80,000.
• IDA and HRA will be admissible as per rules.
• Cafeteria perks: 20% of basic pay.
• Transport Allowance: 10% of basic pay if company vehicle is not provided.
• Mobile/Landline/Broadband reimbursement: Up to Rs. 1,500 per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The notification does not mention any written examination. Selection is based on eligibility, relevant experience, and interview/interaction.
