IPRCL Manager (Projects) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRCL) is hiring a Manager (Projects) for its work at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh and Chennai in Tamil Nadu. IPRCL is a joint venture of 11 Major Ports and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, created to build efficient rail links that move cargo to and from the major ports.

This is a re-employment opening for retired officers. If you left Railways, another government department, a Central PSU, a Port or a government-controlled JV company, on superannuation or through voluntary retirement, and you have worked on infrastructure project execution, Vacancy Circular RE-27/2026 is meant for you. The job is an annual contract that can be extended based on your performance and the company's needs.

The circular accepts working experience across railway track, railway projects, underground or elevated metro work, multistoried building projects and railway maintenance and operations. Make your CV show clearly which of these areas you have handled, because shortlisting is based on relevant experience.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Retired officers only: You must have retired on superannuation or taken VR, and the grade you held at retirement, under either the CDA or the IDA pay pattern, decides whether you qualify.
• Upgraded pay does not count: A higher grade pay or pay scale you got under ACP, MACP or NF from your parent department is ignored when IPRCL checks your grade.
• Choose your place: The application form has a separate line for the place of posting you are applying for, so state Vijayawada or Chennai clearly.
• Contract terms: The job runs on an annual contract; any extension depends on your performance and IPRCL's requirement.
• Pay add-ons: No Performance Related Pay is paid. If the company gives you a vehicle, the transport allowance stops and the cafeteria perks ceiling is cut by 1%.
• Shortlisting: If five or more eligible people apply per vacancy, IPRCL may call candidates for interview in a 1:5 ratio based on relevant experience.
• Eligibility cut-off: Your age, experience and other eligibility are counted as on the last date for receiving applications.
• Updates and disputes: Any change to the circular appears only on the IPRCL website. Disputes fall under courts in Mumbai, and canvassing in any form disqualifies you.

This is a paper application; there is no online form. Fill in the Annexure-I format attached to the circular, paste a recent passport-size photo, and send it with your detailed CV and self-attested copies of your certificates by post or courier, or drop it off by hand.
