IPRCL Dy. Manager (S&T) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRCL) is bringing back retired railway signalling officers as Deputy Manager (Signal and Telecom) under Vacancy Circular RE-32/2026. IPRCL is a joint venture of 11 major ports and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, working under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways to build rail links that move cargo in and out of India's major ports. The circular names Korba, Dipka, Baroud and Sardega as the places of posting. This is a re-employment opening for retired officers, not a job for fresh graduates — it fits someone who has handled railway S&T works and wants to stay active on project sites.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Who it is for: Officers who retired on superannuation or took voluntary retirement (VR) from the Railways, other government departments, central PSUs, ports or government-controlled joint ventures. Your service experience must be in Signal and Telecommunication engineering in the railway field.
• Grade at retirement: Your last regular grade must match the CDA or IDA scale named in the circular. Higher grade pay or scale you got through ACP, MACP or NF upgrades is not counted.
• Type of work you need to show: Planning, estimation, designing, FSR and DPR work, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of all kinds of railway signalling and telecom systems.
• Posting places: The circular lists four posting places but a smaller total number of posts, so not every place may end up filled. Mention your preferred place clearly on the form.
• Contract tenure: You join on an annual contract, which IPRCL can extend depending on your performance and its own needs.
• Service rules: Your appointment follows the IPRCL Service and Conduct, Discipline and Appeal Rules, as amended from time to time.
• Wrong information: If any detail or certificate turns out to be false, your candidature is cancelled — even after you have joined.
• Changes to the circular: IPRCL may add, cut or cancel posts at any stage. Updates appear only on the IPRCL website, so check it regularly.
• Other notes: Requests to change your address or interview centre are not accepted, canvassing leads to disqualification, and any dispute falls under the courts in Mumbai only.
