Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has released Advertisement No. IGRUA/ADVT/25/2026 for 3 Under Trainee Assistant Flight Instructor (U/T-AFI) posts. IGRUA is one of India's premier flying training institutes and trains cadet pilots using aircraft such as the DA-40 and DA-42. Selected candidates will be posted at the IGRUA campus in Fursatganj, Amethi (UP) or Gondia (Maharashtra), or any other base as per training requirement. This is a good opportunity for commercial pilots who want to build a career in flight instruction and training while gaining experience under senior instructors.

Who Can Apply?

• License: You must hold a valid and current Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA.
• Recency: You should have recent flying experience on the DA-40 aircraft.
• Medical: You need a valid Class-I Medical Certificate.
• Radio License: You must hold a valid Flight Radio Telephony Operator's License (FRTOL/RTR).
• English Proficiency: You need a valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) as per DGCA requirements.
• Training Record: Your training record and conduct during CPL training must be satisfactory.
• Safety Record: You must declare that you have no history of flying accidents, incidents, or safety violations, and no positive breathalyzer (BA) or drug test results.
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 35 years as on 1 July 2026.

2. Attach self-attested copies of your certificates in the correct order.

Note: If selected, you will need to execute a Service Bond of Rs. 25,00,000 and serve IGRUA as an Assistant Flight Instructor for a minimum of 2 years. You will also need to bear the cost of your simulator and flight assessment sorties, so factor this into your decision before applying.

• Conduct dual and solo flight training for cadet pilots under supervision
• Assist senior flight instructors during ground briefings and de-briefings
• Maintain accurate flight and training records
• Follow all DGCA safety regulations and IGRUA operating procedures
• Monitor trainee progress and report performance to senior instructors
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks on training aircraft
• Support simulator and flight assessment sessions as required
