Who Can Apply?

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 33 years old as on 21 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: General category women get 5 years; reserved category men get 5 years; reserved category women get 10 years (maximum age 45 years).
• PwBD candidates: General PwBD men get 10 years, PwBD women get 15 years; reserved category PwBD men get 15 years, PwBD women get 20 years (maximum age capped at 45 years in all PwBD cases).
• Ex-servicemen: Get relaxation equal to their service period plus 3 years.

Salary

• You will get a fixed pay of Rs. 40,800 per month for the first five years of service.
• After five years of satisfactory service, you will move to the regular 7th Pay Commission Level-5 scale of Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month.
• You will also get other allowances as per applicable Gujarat government resolutions.
• This pay structure follows the Finance Department resolutions on fixed-pay appointments for new government recruits in Gujarat.

Selection Process

Your selection depends on a single stage:

1. Written Exam (CBRT/OMR, MCQ-based): The exam has 210 questions for 280 marks in 3 hours (180 minutes). Part A (90 questions, 90 marks) covers Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, and the Constitution of India/current affairs with Gujarati & English comprehension. Part B (120 questions, 190 marks) covers subject knowledge related to Horticulture/Agriculture. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
2. Document Verification of your original certificates once you are shortlisted.

If the exam is conducted across multiple sessions, GSSSB will normalize the marks of all candidates before preparing the final merit list, so scores stay comparable across sessions.
