Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) is engaging Guest Faculty through its Centre for Skill Development at Neelakudi, Thiruvarur. The academic-year requirement spans vocational degree and diploma programmes rather than one conventional department, bringing together media, commerce, tourism, English, heritage studies and the traditional martial art Silambattam. The engagement is hourly paid and purely temporary, so it suits teachers and industry professionals who can contribute practical subject knowledge for the current teaching requirement.

Post-wise Duties

Vocational Programme Faculty

You will teach English-language subjects for vocational learners, support clear academic and workplace communication, and adapt lessons to mixed subject backgrounds.

Epigraphy and Heritage Management Faculty

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement is for one semester or six months and remains purely temporary. It does not create a right to a permanent university post.
• Performance: CUTN may end the engagement without notice if the work is found unsatisfactory.
• Vacancy position: The stated requirement is tentative, and the university may increase, decrease or fill consequential needs.
• Benefits: Guest Faculty do not receive the allowances, pension, gratuity or leave benefits available to regular teachers.
