AIIMS Kalyani Junior Resident (Non-Academic) Recruitment 2026 - 38 Posts

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani has invited applications for 38 Junior Resident (Non-Academic) positions on a tenure basis for 6 months. AIIMS Kalyani is one of the newer AIIMS established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This is a walk-in interview — you do not need to apply online. Simply bring your filled application form and documents to the interview venue on the scheduled date. Fresh MBBS graduates who completed their internship within the last 3 years should apply.

Vacancy Details

A total of 38 posts are available, distributed across the following categories:

• General (UR): 7 posts
• OBC: 10 posts
• SC: 8 posts
• ST: 9 posts
• EWS: 4 posts

The posts are spread across various clinical departments at AIIMS Kalyani. The exact department allocation will depend on vacancies available at the time of joining.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree from an institution recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• Internship: You must have completed your compulsory internship and should have an internship completion certificate.
• Registration: You need to be registered with any State Medical Council or NMC.
• Freshness Requirement: You must have passed MBBS (including internship) not earlier than 3 years before 31 March 2026. So your MBBS completion date should be on or after 31 March 2023.
• Previous JR Terms: If you have already completed 2 terms of Junior Residency (Non-Academic) at any institution, you are not eligible. Each term is 6 months, and joining and leaving at any point counts as one full term.
• Experience in Army services, Central Health Services, private nursing homes, and private practice is treated as equivalent to Junior Residency.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 33 years as on the date of publishing this notification on the AIIMS Kalyani website (10 March 2026).
• PwD (OPH): 10 years of age relaxation beyond the upper age limit.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories will be applicable as per DoPT instructions.
• No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved vacancies.

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5,400 (6th CPC)
• 7th CPC equivalent: Level 10 of the Pay Matrix (entry pay: Rs. 56,100 per month)
• You will also get Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) applicable for medical graduates, which is 20% of basic pay.
• Plus DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

• SC / ST: No fee
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of "AIIMS KALYANI INTERNAL RESOURCES ACCOUNT" payable at Kalyani.
• Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Applications without the prescribed fee will be rejected.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through a walk-in interview on 26 March 2026:

1. Document Verification: Your original documents will be checked first, starting at 09:30 AM. You must carry all original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies.
2. Walk-in Interview: After your documents are verified, you will appear for a personal interview starting at 10:00 AM. Selection will be based entirely on your performance in the interview.

If the interview is not completed on the scheduled day, you may have to attend the next day as well.

3. Prepare a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000 (if applicable) in favour of "AIIMS KALYANI INTERNAL RESOURCES ACCOUNT" payable at Kalyani.
4. Collect all your original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.
5. Reach the Administrative Building, Ground Floor, Welcome Center at AIIMS Kalyani (Pin - 741245) on 26 March 2026 by 09:00 AM.
6. Submit your application form along with documents at the venue.

Important: Candidates reporting after 10:00 AM will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

• Provide clinical care to patients under the supervision of senior doctors in the assigned department
• Assist in OPD consultations, ward rounds, and emergency duty on a rotational basis
• Maintain patient records, case histories, and treatment documentation accurately
• Work in shifts including night duty and be available for posting at any department including Trauma and Emergency Medicine
• Follow hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety procedures at all times
• Participate in academic activities, clinical meetings, and case presentations as required
• Coordinate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals for smooth patient management
