The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has released notification (Advt. No. IISER-K/Admn./NT-Proj. Mode/2026/01) for 2 Student Counsellor / Clinical Psychologist posts under project mode. One post is reserved for a male candidate and one for a female candidate. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work with a specialization in Clinical Psychotherapy, plus a Graduation in Psychology with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognised University or Institute.
• Experience: You need 2 years of relevant experience — clinical experience in mental health care, and experience working as a full-time or part-time Student Counsellor.
• Desirable: Counselling experience in an educational institution, both group and individual counselling, and excellent communication skills.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years.
• Your age will be counted as on the closing date of the application (15 June 2026).

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 45,000 per month.
• This is a fixed amount with no separate allowances, as it is a project-mode contract post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this post. Selection is based on:

1. Shortlisting: The Institute screens applications based on your academic record and professional experience.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. You must bring your original documents for verification.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
