CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur has released Advertisement No. RECRUIT_RG_4C_Kolkata_20052026 to engage 1 Project Associate-I (PAT-I) on a purely temporary basis. The post is under the project "Gas-Particle Partitioning of Carbonyl Compounds and Their Influence on Brown Carbon, a Short-Lived Climate Forcer, in Fine Aerosols over Kolkata Megacity (OLP-82)", based at the Kolkata Zonal Centre. Selection is through a walk-in interview — there is no online application or written exam.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an M.Sc. in Chemistry or Environmental Science from a recognised university.
• Result: Your result must be declared (at least a provisional certificate). Final-semester or result-awaited candidates cannot attend the interview.
• Job role: The work involves field campaigns for air quality monitoring, analysis of trace air pollutants using advanced instruments, and supporting ongoing research at NEERI Kolkata Zonal Centre.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Salary

• Rs. 31,000 per month + HRA — if you have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship) or GATE, or a national-level exam conducted by a central government department such as DBT/DST or equivalent.
• Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA — for all other candidates who do not meet the above.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on a walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Held at CSIR-NEERI, Kolkata Zonal Centre on 8 June 2026. Reporting time is 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM (the gate closes at 11:00 AM).
2. Document Verification: Bring a passport-size photo, Aadhaar card, 10th and 12th certificates, graduate and postgraduate mark sheets and degree certificates (one photocopy set plus originals) along with the filled application form.
