Punjab National Bank (PNB) Local Bank Officer Recruitment 2026 - 545 Posts

Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India's largest public sector banks, has released a notification for 545 Local Bank Officer (LBO) posts in JMGS-I scale under its Human Resources Planning (HRP) 2026-27 process. The vacancies are spread across 17 states, with Assam (85 posts) and West Bengal (80 posts) having the highest openings. Bank experience is mandatory for this role — it is meant for candidates already working in a bank's clerical or officer cadre who want to become an officer at PNB. The Local Bank Officer role is a state-cadre post, which means once you are selected and posted, you generally continue to serve within the state you applied for, working closely with local customers, agricultural borrowers, and small businesses in that region. This recruitment is conducted through the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) registration portal on behalf of the Bank.
