Union Bank of India (UBI) Officer Recruitment Project 2026-27 - 395 Posts

Union Bank of India (UBI), one of India's leading Public Sector Banks, has opened its Recruitment Project 2026-27 for officers with domain expertise, General Banking Officers, and Specialist Officers. The bank needs people across 5 grades — from Manager (MMGS-II) up to Deputy General Manager (TEGS-VI) — spread across General Banking as well as a Specialized Segment covering IT & Cybersecurity, Chartered Accountancy, Law, Risk Management, Forex, Engineering, Architecture, and Vendor Management. This is a lateral, experience-based hiring drive — nearly every post needs prior banking or domain-specific work experience, so it best suits working professionals rather than fresh graduates.

Vacancy Breakdown by Grade

  • Manager (MMGS-II): 163 posts
  • Senior Manager (MMGS-III): 153 posts
  • Chief Manager (SMGS-IV): 52 posts
  • Assistant General Manager (SMGS-V): 20 posts
  • Deputy General Manager (TEGS-VI): 7 posts

These 395 vacancies are spread across General Banking Officer roles (post codes G01-G19) and more than 100 Specialist Officer roles (post codes S01-S108) covering domains like IT & Cybersecurity, Chartered Accountancy (Credit, Taxation, IND-AS), Law, Forex, Risk Management, Engineering, Architecture, and Vendor Management. Each specialist post code has its own qualification, certification, and experience requirement — check the detailed advertisement for the exact criteria of the post you want to apply for.

Who Can Apply?

General Banking Officers (Scale II-III):

  • You need a graduate degree in any discipline.
  • Experience: minimum 2 years of post-qualification banking experience for Scale II, or 5 years for Scale III, including time as a Branch Head or credit officer.

Specialist Officers (Scale II-VI):

  • Qualification depends on the domain — for example, a Chartered Accountant (CA) degree for CA/Taxation posts, B.E./B.Tech/MCA for IT posts, an LLB for Law Officer, B.Arch for Architect, and an MBA/CFA/Post-graduate in Statistics for Risk roles.
  • Mandatory certifications apply to several posts — for example CISSP/CISM for Cybersecurity Analyst, PMP/PgMP for Project Management Professional, and RHCE/RHCSA for Linux Admin.
  • Experience ranges from 3 years for junior specialist posts up to 15 years for senior roles such as Law Officer (Scale V).

Since eligibility varies across all 108 specialist post codes, match your qualification, certification, and experience to the specific post code before applying — you can apply for only one post.

Age Limit

  • Age limits vary by post and grade, ranging from 22-35 years for Scale II-III posts up to 40-50 years for senior Scale IV-VI posts.
  • The cut-off date for age is the closing date of online registration (10 August 2026).
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST get 5 years, OBC (non-creamy layer) get 3 years, PwBD candidates get 10 years, and Ex-Servicemen get 5 years relaxation on the upper age limit.

  • UR / EWS / OBC: Rs. 1,180 (inclusive of GST)
  • Payment mode: online only — Debit/Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card, or UPI.
