National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) JRF Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

NIT Warangal, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has released a notification (Ref. No. 06-26/3/MA/SE/ANRF-ARG/RS36025/JRF-01) to fill 1 Junior Research Fellow position under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF-ARG) sponsored project titled "Global Existence and Asymptotic Expansions to the Solutions of Dispersive-Dissipative Equations". This is a purely temporary position for a maximum of 3 years or until the project ends, whichever is earlier. The project is jointly guided by Dr. Satyanarayana Engu (NIT Warangal) and Dr. Manas Ranjan Sahoo (NISER Bhubaneswar), so the selected candidate gets exposure to inter-institutional research collaboration. Candidates with a strong Mathematics background who have qualified NET, JRF, or GATE should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a recognized university/institute, with a consistently good academic record.
• Mandatory qualifying exam: You must have qualified UGC-NET / UGC-JRF / CSIR-NET / CSIR-JRF / GATE.
• Desirable: Prior knowledge of Partial Differential Equations and Functional Analysis.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 30 years old if you belong to the General/General-EWS category, as on the date of this notification (10 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: OBC-NCL candidates can apply up to 33 years, and SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates can apply up to 35 years.

Salary

• You will get Rs. 37,000 per month for the first two years, rising to Rs. 42,000 per month in the third year.
• HRA is payable as per government rules applicable to NIT Warangal.
• You will also be eligible for on-campus hostel and mess facilities, subject to availability.
• Selected candidates are encouraged to apply for admission to the PhD programme at NIT Warangal, as per the Institute's rules, whenever the admission notification is issued.

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting of applications based on qualifications and experience.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by email and called for an interview. The position is purely temporary.
