Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat, is a NAAC Re-Accredited (B++ with 2.86 CGPA) university located on University Campus, Udhna-Magdalla Road, Surat, Gujarat. Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You must hold a Post-Graduate degree with qualifications meeting the minimum standards prescribed by UGC, Gujarat Government, and Veer Narmad South Gujarat University for the relevant subject.
- Preference: Candidates holding UGC NET/SLET/SET, PhD, or additional research qualifications will be given priority during selection.
- For HRD subject: Candidates with additional degrees or qualifications in Law, Computer Science, Statistics, and Psychology will be preferred.
- Employment Registration: You must have an active Employment Registration Card and upload it with your application (Point 3 of the notification).
- Not Eligible: Permanent employees of VNSGU or its PG Centres cannot apply (Point 19). However, those currently working as visiting faculty can re-apply (Point 20).
Remuneration
- Selected visiting faculty will receive remuneration as per university norms on a per-lecture payment basis.
- No additional benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), Provident Fund, or any Pay Commission benefits will be provided (as per Point 18 of the notification).
- Selected candidates will need to execute an agreement on a Rs. 300 stamp paper as prescribed by the university.
Selection Process
- Interview: The concerned department Head / Co-Ordinator / Co-Co-Ordinator / PG In-Charge / Acharya Shri / OSD will contact shortlisted candidates for the interview. You must attend the interview at your own expense.
- Document Verification: You will need to present original certificates, qualification documents, experience letters, age proof, and caste certificate (for reserved categories) at the time of interview.
Note: Candidates should not contact any department, college, or PG centre directly for interview details. Wait for the official communication from the university (Point 2).

- Register yourself on the portal if you are a new user.
- Login with your credentials and fill out the online application form for the Visiting Faculty position.
- Upload all required documents including your Employment Registration Card, degree certificates, and supporting documents.
- Submit your application before 01 July 2026, 6:00 PM.
- Keep a printout of the submitted application for your records.
Important: Incomplete applications will not be accepted (Point 8). Verify all qualification requirements carefully before applying (Point 9).
Working Hours
Selected visiting faculty members will work in shifts as assigned by their department head:
- Morning Shift: 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in your assigned subject as per the university curriculum and academic calendar.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and presentations for effective classroom instruction.
- Assist in conducting internal assessments, examinations, and evaluating student assignments and answer sheets.
- Participate in admission processes, result preparation, and syllabus-related activities as directed by the department head.
- Guide and mentor students in their academic pursuits and project work within your specialization.
- Attend departmental meetings, co-curricular activities, and university events as assigned by the coordinator or department head.
- Follow the assigned shift schedule and maintain punctuality as per university regulations.
