TRAI Senior Associate Consultant Recruitment 2026 — 1 Post

TRAI is a statutory body set up under the TRAI Act, 1997, to regulate the telecommunications sector, protect consumer interests, and ensure orderly growth of the telecom industry in India. Since 2004, TRAI also oversees Broadcasting and Cable Services. This opening is in the QoS-II Division at TRAI HQ, New Delhi, and focuses on AI/ML, data analytics, and cloud-based tools for regulatory work. The contract is for 1 year, extendable up to 4 years based on performance.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science
• Plus: Master's Degree or Post Graduation Diploma in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence from a recognised university

Experience Required

• 4 years of post-qualification work experience in:
• (a) AI/ML application development
• (b) Software and backend engineering
• (c) Data analytics
• (d) Cloud deployment
• (e) Handling of large datasets
• (f) Predictive modelling and system scalability

Note: If you have previously worked at TRAI, up to one-third of that period (in completed years and months) can be added as a weightage to your total experience.

Other Requirements

• You should have strong analytical, communication (including technical writing), and interpersonal skills
• You need to be dynamic and self-motivated
• Must be an Indian citizen

Age Limit

• Maximum age: Below 35 years
• Age as on: Date of issue of vacancy circular (24th March 2026)

Salary

• Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 1,20,000/- per month (fixed)
• Transport Allowance: Rs. 8,000/- per month (fixed)
• Total Monthly: Rs. 1,28,000/-
• Annual Increment (on extension): Rs. 10,000/- added to monthly pay
• Contract Duration: Initial 1 year, extendable up to 4 years on mutual consent
