RVNL GM (Design) & AM (Rajbhasha) Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has released two separate notifications (Advt. No. 01/2026 and 02/2026) for the posts of General Manager (Design) and Assistant Manager (Rajbhasha) on a regular basis. Both posts are at the RVNL Corporate Office in New Delhi. These are regular (permanent) positions with a 2-year probation period. RVNL handles rail infrastructure, metro projects, highways, bridges, tunnels and other major infrastructure projects across India and abroad.

Vacancy Details

Who Can Apply?

For General Manager (Design) — Grade E-8

• Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institute.
• Desirable: Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience in civil engineering design of large infrastructure projects. At least 5 years should be in design or review of Metro/Railway structures (underground, elevated, steel bridges, RCC bridges, PSC structures).
• Grade Criteria (Govt/CDA): Holding post in Level-14 on regular basis, or Level-13 with 17 years Group A service.
• Grade Criteria (PSU/IDA): Holding post in E-8 grade on regular basis, or E-7 with 4 years regular service.
• Private Sector: Minimum CTC of Rs. 40 lakh per annum with 20 years relevant experience. Must submit Form-26AS or equivalent proof.

For Assistant Manager (Rajbhasha) — Grade E-0

• Qualification: Master's Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at degree level, OR Master's Degree in English with Hindi as a subject at degree level.
• AND: Diploma in Translation (minimum 1 year) from a Government-recognised university or institute.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa, preferably in Govt/Semi-Govt/Railway/PSU/Autonomous Bodies.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Official Language Policy of Government of India and Hindi typing on computer.

Age Limit

• General Manager (Design): Maximum 57 years as on 05 May 2026 (closing date).
• Assistant Manager (Rajbhasha): Maximum 30 years as on 05 May 2026 (closing date).
• Age Relaxation (AM post): As per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen. RVNL employees (Regular/Contract/Outsource) get relaxation equal to their service period.

Salary

• General Manager (Design) — Grade E-8: Pay scale of Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,80,000 per month (IDA pattern).
• Assistant Manager (Rajbhasha) — Grade E-0: Pay scale of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,20,000 per month (IDA pattern).
• In addition, you will get HRA/Lease, medical benefits, EPF, gratuity and other perks as per RVNL rules.

Selection Process

2. Written Test and/or Personal Interview: As decided by the management. Only shortlisted candidates will be called.

• Lead design development processes for infrastructure projects assigned by RVNL
• Review designs, drawings, models and specifications using software like Staad Pro, AutoCAD and Revit
• Work with architects, engineers, planners and clients across different project teams
• Handle translation of official documents from English to Hindi and vice-versa
• Monitor compliance of designs with applicable codes, standards and client requirements
• Conduct site visits, surveys and design audits to check design intent and implementation
• Prepare presentations and reports to communicate design concepts and project progress
• Assist in implementing the Official Language Policy of the Government of India
