NTTM Joint and Deputy Mission Director Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, has re-advertised two senior posts under the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM): Joint Mission Director (Research and Innovation) and Deputy Mission Director. These are not open-market jobs — only serving officers can apply, on deputation, and the application must come through their own department. The posts sit with the mission team at GPOA-3, Netaji Nagar, New Delhi, and the deputation runs only until the mission period ends in March 2028.

Posts and Disciplines

• Joint Mission Director (Research and Innovation): the research-focused post, open to Central Government officers with a Master's degree in Science or Technology, or a B.E./B.Tech in Textile backed by experience in technical textiles. A PhD in a relevant subject and experience in a scientific or technology mission give you an edge.
• Deputy Mission Director: a programme-implementation post open to officers of the Central Government, autonomous bodies and statutory bodies who have hands-on experience running Government schemes.

The third post from the original May 2026 circular, Joint Mission Director (Programme Implementation), is not part of this re-advertisement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation only: you must hold an analogous post on a regular basis, or meet the feeder-grade service condition set for the post you choose.
• Tenure: deputation, including any ex-cadre deputation held just before, lasts up to 31 March 2028.
• Pay fixation: your pay on deputation is fixed under the DoPT deputation instructions, as amended from time to time.
• No withdrawal: once you apply, you cannot withdraw your candidature.
• Relieving: your department must confirm that you will be relieved to join the Ministry of Textiles if you are selected.
• Incomplete applications: applications without the CR/APAR dossiers or other listed papers, or that arrive late, can be rejected.

Fill in the prescribed proforma, get it certified by your Head of Department, and have it forwarded through proper channel to The Under Secretary (SF&TT), Ministry of Textiles, Seat Number 5307, Zone-3, 5th Floor, GPOA-3, Netaji Nagar, New Delhi-110023. The OM also gives bhaskar.kalra@nic.in and tammt@nic.in as contact emails. Your application must reach the Ministry within 60 days from the OM's date of issue, 27 October 2026.

Corrigenda and Notices

• Re-advertisement OM dated 27 October 2026: the two posts, first advertised by OM dated 21 May 2026 and followed by an OM dated 10 July 2026, are open again. All other terms of the May 2026 OM still apply.
• Earlier applicants: if you already applied under the May or July 2026 OMs, you do not need to apply again — your earlier application will be considered along with the fresh ones.
