NCM Principal Private Secretary Recruitment 2026: Overview

The National Commission for Minorities (NCM) in New Delhi is filling a Principal Private Secretary (PPS) post, a Group 'A' position in the Commission's establishment. The recruitment rules fill this post by promotion first, failing which by deputation, and this circular opens the deputation route to serving officers from other government offices. It is not open to fresh candidates — you must already hold a regular post in government or a recognised public body. The job is based at the Commission's office in CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Who can come on deputation: officers of the Central or State Government, Union Territory administrations, PSUs, universities, recognised research institutions, semi-government or autonomous bodies and statutory organisations.
• Feeder officers excluded: NCM's own officers in the direct line of promotion cannot apply on deputation, and deputationists cannot be considered for promotion.
• Tenure: the deputation starts for one year and can be extended. Total deputation, counting any ex-cadre deputation held just before, ordinarily does not go beyond three years.
• Pay fixation: your pay is fixed under DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay II) dated 17.06.2010 and its later amendments.
