Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Counsellor Recruitment 2026
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Regional Office Chandigarh, has issued guidelines for contract engagement of school counsellors for JNVs under the Chandigarh Region. The notification does not give a fixed vacancy count and says engagement will be made as per need. This role is for psychology and counselling professionals who can work with residential school students and support their emotional, social, academic, and career development.
JNVs are residential schools, so the counsellor role includes regular interaction with students, teachers, hostel staff, parents, and school leadership. The work covers personal counselling, group sessions, career guidance, adolescent education, and support for students who need extra emotional or academic help.
