The Office of Research and Consultancy at National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) has released a notice for 1 Junior Research Fellow post under the ANRF PM ECRG-sponsored project "VISHWA: Verifiable and Interpretable Speech for High-trust Applications" in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. The engagement is on a contract basis for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance. ANRF PM ECRG is the Anusandhan National Research Foundation's Prime Minister's Early Career Research Grant scheme that funds early-career researchers on focused projects. Candidates with a strong academic background in AI, NLP, or speech processing research are especially encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: GATE or CSIR-UGC-NET qualified M.Tech/M.Sc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Signal Processing, or allied programmes.
  • Preferred: Prior experience working in funded research projects, with publications preferably in AI, NLP, or Speech Processing domains.
  • The Institute reserves the right to relax qualification and experience requirements for candidates with exceptional credentials.

Salary

  • The selected candidate will get a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 37,000 plus 20% HRA, totaling Rs. 44,400 per month.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this post. You will be selected through shortlisting followed by an interview:

  1. Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be notified by email after their application is reviewed.
  2. Hybrid Interview: Scheduled for 20 August 2026, conducted in hybrid mode (online plus in-person).
