Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA), under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, issued Advertisement No. H/E/37A/Professional Interns of 2026-27 dated 02 June 2026. This is a contract engagement in the Medical Department, with posting at the MbPA Hospital and/or dispensary as directed by the Chief Medical Officer or Senior Deputy Chief Medical Officer (Admin). The initial engagement period is 2 years, extendable by another 2 years based on performance, with a performance review every 6 months.

The posts are full-time roles. Selected professionals cannot take up another assignment during the contract period. MbPA may provide working space, internet facility, orientation training of 1 to 2 weeks, and other necessities as decided by the department.

Professional Associate Roles

• Hospital Admin: BBA in healthcare management, Bachelor/Master in Hospital Administration, MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management, or Medical Science graduate. Hospital administration exposure is preferred.
• Bio Medical Engineer: B.E./B.Tech/BSc in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related core engineering fields. M.Tech/M.S./MSc specialization is preferred for advanced roles.
• Store and Billing: Graduate in any discipline such as B.Com, BBA, BSc, or Bachelor in Hospital Administration, with computer proficiency. Records/store management or healthcare management certification is desirable.
• Clinical Assistant: MBBS, BAMS, or BHMS. Experience may be preferred for clinical workflow support.

Professional Assistant Roles

• Multitask: Graduate in any discipline with certificate/diploma in Computer Applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and presentation tools through a course of at least 6 months. Fast data entry and typing in English/Hindi/Marathi are preferred.
• Catering: Bachelor's in Hospitality Management or relevant Catering/Culinary course. Knowledge of food safety, nutritional standards and procurement is preferred.
• IT: Graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, BCA, BSc IT, Diploma in IT, or additional certifications in hardware, networking, Tally/ERP, HMIS, MS Office or data management.

Soft Skills

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are expected.
• Work style: You should be ready to learn, work with different departments, multitask, and handle pressure.
• Analytical skills: Data modelling, research, and analytical skills are mentioned in the notice.

Age Limit

• You should be less than 35 years of age.
• The crucial date for age, qualification and experience is 01 June 2026.
• The notice says there will be no relaxation in qualification or experience.

Salary

• Professional Associates: Consolidated pay of Rs. 50,000 per month.
• Professional Assistants: Consolidated pay of Rs. 40,000 per month.
• Annual increment: 5% on last drawn pay, based on satisfactory performance.
• Allowances: No DA, HRA, transport allowance, CGHS, medical reimbursement or similar allowance is payable.
• Medical facility: OPD/IPD facility at MbPA Hospital/Dispensary with medicines is available for the contractual personnel only, not for family/dependents.

Selection Process
