Meghalaya B.Sc Nursing CEE 2026 Admission Notification

The Directorate of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Government of Meghalaya is conducting the State Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 for admission to the B.Sc Nursing Course session 2026-27 in State Government quota and private institutions within Meghalaya. If you have passed 12th Standard (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, you can apply online. The last date to apply is 23 May 2026 at 3 PM. The exam will be held on 06 June 2026. Age limit is 17 to 35 years.

Government of Meghalaya B.Sc Nursing CEE 2026-27 Entrance Examination

The Director of Health Services Medical Education & Research (DME), Government of Meghalaya invites online applications for the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 for admission to the B.Sc Nursing Course in State Government Quota and in private institutions within Meghalaya. This is in continuation to the original advertisement No. DHSME&R/Estt/CEE/2025-26/1866 dated 30 March 2026 and the supplementary notification No. DHSME&R/Estt/CEE/2025-26/2734 dated 22 April 2026. Only candidates who clear the CEE will be eligible to pursue B.Sc Nursing in Meghalaya. Even candidates whose 12th results are yet to be declared can apply.

Who Can Apply?

Nationality

• You must be a bonafide citizen of India

Educational Qualification

• You must have passed the 12th Standard (10+2) Science Examination
• Candidates whose 12th results are yet to be declared are also eligible to apply
• You must have a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (General Category)
• For ST/SC/OBC categories: minimum 40% marks in PCB taken together
• You must have passed English individually in 10+2
• Candidates from State Open School or NIOS with Science and English are also eligible

Other Essential Criteria

• You must be medically fit
• Married candidates are also eligible
• Colour blind candidates are eligible with corrective lenses or spectacles
• Reservation for disability is as per INC guidelines

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 17 years (as on 31 December 2026)
• Maximum age: 35 years

Selection Process (Exam Pattern)

Selection is purely based on the CEE 2026 written examination:

1. Written Exam (OMR-Based): 100 multiple choice questions for 100 marks in 2 hours
2. Medium: English only
3. Negative Marking: No negative marking
4. Subjects: Aptitude for Nursing (20 marks), Physics (20), Chemistry (20), Biology (20), English (20)
5. Only candidates obtaining the cut-off percentile set by the conducting authority will be eligible for admission

2. Register yourself on the online portal with your email ID and mobile number
3. Login using your registered email and password
4. Fill in the online application form completely
5. Pay the application fee online using OTP verification on your registered mobile
6. Submit the form and take a printout for your records
7. Submit the application before 23 May 2026 (3 PM)

• Appear for the State Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 at the assigned centre
• Carry the admit card and valid photo ID to the exam centre
• Bring a Black Ball Point Pen for darkening the OMR sheet
• Follow all instructions issued by the conducting authority and centre supervisors
• Report at the venue well before the exam start time as indicated on the admit card
• Avoid any tampering with the OMR response sheet as it leads to disqualification
