The Government of Karnataka, through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), has released a notification for 505 Village Accountant (Grama Aadalitha Adhikari) vacancies in Group-C cadre under the Revenue Department. These posts are spread across 21 districts, with Tumakuru and Mandya offering the highest openings at 50 posts each. Selection happens through a competitive written exam conducted by KEA, and you can apply to only one district of your choice — applications to more than one district will not be entertained.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a PUC (12th) pass or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Karnataka government (CBSE/ICSE Class 12, NIOS Senior Secondary, or a two-year ITI course combined with SSLC and English/Kannada plus one subject).
• Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen.
• Reserved Category Benefits: Rural candidates, Kannada-medium students, ex-servicemen, project-displaced persons, and third gender candidates get reservation as per Karnataka government rules — check the notification for the exact category your certificates fall under.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old for General Merit candidates.
• Age Relaxation: Category 2A/2B/3A/3B candidates can apply up to 43 years. SC/ST and Category-1 candidates can apply up to 45 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates get a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 34,100 to Rs. 67,600 per month as per Karnataka government pay scales.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Karnataka government rules.
• Newly recruited candidates are on probation for 2 years and are eligible for the National Pension Scheme (NPS).

Application Fee

• General / Category 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B: Rs. 750 (Rs. 500 application fee + Rs. 250 processing fee)
• SC / ST / Category-1 / Ex-servicemen / Third Gender: Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 application fee + Rs. 250 processing fee)
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (Special Merit): Rs. 250 (processing fee only)
• Payment mode: Online only. Fees once paid are non-refundable — check your eligibility, category and age proof carefully before paying.

Selection Process

Your selection happens through a competitive written exam:

1. Written Exam (Offline OMR-based): Paper-1 and Paper-2, each with 100 questions for 100 marks, on 04 October 2026 (Paper-1: 10:30 AM-12:30 PM, Paper-2: 2:30 PM-4:30 PM). Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies per wrong answer. You need a minimum of 35% marks to qualify for selection.
2. Kannada Language Test: Required only if you have not studied Kannada as a first or second language up to SSLC level. You need at least 50 out of 150 marks to qualify (date to be announced later); marks from this test are not added to your merit rank, it is only a qualifying test.
3. Document Verification: You must bring your original certificates, category proof, and marks cards when called for verification.

You can download your exam admit card from the KEA website closer to the exam date — no admit cards are sent by post.

3. Fill in the application form with your personal, educational, and category details.
4. Upload your photo (JPEG, 50-200 KB) and signature (JPEG, 50-70 KB).
5. Pay the fee online and submit the form.
6. Take a printout for your records.
