Government of Meghalaya (MSWWDA) Field Engineer and Programme Associate Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Office of the Divisional Officer, North Garo Hills Soil & Water Conservation Division, has invited eligible candidates for a walk-in interview for 3 contractual posts under the Meghalaya State Watershed & Wasteland Development Agency (MSWWDA). These positions are created under the Climate Adaptive Community Based Water Harvesting Project (CACbWHP), based at Resubelpara in North Garo Hills. No written exam is required — selection happens through document verification and a walk-in interview only. Candidates with a diploma in civil engineering, or a graduate/postgraduate degree in commerce, accountancy, or any other discipline, can apply depending on the post.

CACbWHP is a large state-wide water security project backed by a USD 50 million loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It aims to build climate-resilient water storage facilities across 12 districts of Meghalaya, expand irrigation coverage, and improve rural water access during the dry season. The Field Engineer and Programme Associate posts advertised here will directly support the North Garo Hills division of this project, so this is a good opportunity if you want field-level exposure to a major government infrastructure programme.

Who Can Apply?

Field Engineer (Rs. 26,000/month):

• Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Experience: Preference goes to candidates with 2 or more years of experience in identifying sites, and in designing, planning and estimating engineering structures
• Experience with hand surveying tools, Dumpy/Auto level and electronic surveying tools (transit levels, GPS equipment) counts as an advantage
• Skills: AutoCAD, preparation of plans and estimates, and Measurement Book (MB) entry and checking as per current SOR (Schedule of Rates)

Programme Associate - Finance and Accounts (Rs. 22,100/month):

• Qualification: Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, Accountancy, BBA, or MBA in Financial Management, Accounting & Finance
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in accounts, taxation and financial management, with good knowledge of chart of accounts and accounting procedure
• Skills: Computerised accountancy or Tally (latest version), MS Office including spreadsheets and data analysis, and good written and verbal communication

Programme Associate - Administration and Data Management (Rs. 22,100/month):

• Qualification: Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in filing, file management and tracking, e-mail management, documentation and other administrative work
• Skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated professional integrity

Age Limit

• The upper age limit will be as per existing Government of Meghalaya rules. The notification does not mention a specific age figure, so check with the office before applying if you are unsure.

Salary

• Field Engineer: Rs. 26,000 per month
• Programme Associate (Finance and Accounts): Rs. 22,100 per month

Selection Process

Selection is based on document verification and a walk-in interview — there is no written exam for these posts.

1. Document Verification: Your original academic, experience, ST/SC and age-proof certificates will be checked on the day of the interview.
2. Walk-in Interview: Held on 30 July 2026 at 11:00 AM onwards at the Office of the Divisional Officer, North Garo Hills Soil & Water Conservation Division, Resubelpara.
