KGMU (King George's Medical University) is hiring 3 project staff — a Project Research Scientist-I (Medical), a Project Technical Support-II, and a Lab Technician — for an ICMR-funded tuberculosis (TB) clinical trial in the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Lucknow. Depending on the post, you need an MBBS, a graduate degree, or a 12th + Diploma qualification, and you apply by email. The last date to apply is 17 July 2026. Salary ranges from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 67,000 per month plus 20% HRA.

King George's Medical University (KGMU) Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Department of Respiratory Medicine at King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow has advertised 3 contractual positions under a multi-centric ICMR research project studying high-dose Rifampicin-based TB treatment regimens, with or without Levofloxacin, led by Dr. Rajiv Garg, Professor, Department of Respiratory Medicine. The project is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. These are purely temporary, project-based posts — the initial appointment is for 6 months, extendable up to 1 year depending on your performance and the project's needs. You cannot claim a regular appointment, and your position ends automatically when the project is completed. Your appointment can also be terminated at any time if your performance is found unsatisfactory.

King George's Medical University, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) is one of the oldest and largest state medical universities in India, and this project is part of a multi-centric parallel-arm randomized clinical trial studying how to shorten and improve TB treatment outcomes — an important area of work given India's national TB elimination goals. Working on this project gives you hands-on experience in clinical research, patient follow-up, and laboratory work within a recognized ICMR study, which is valuable if you are looking to build a career in medical research or public health.
