KGMU Demonstrator Medical Physics Recruitment 2026: Overview

King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow is filling Demonstrator (Medical Physics) posts in its Department of Radio-therapy (Radiation Oncology) through a short-term walk-in interview. The drive is run by the Office of the Medical Superintendent, Gandhi Memorial and Associated Hospitals (G.M. and A.H.), and the posts are non-medical, so you do not need an MBBS degree.

This suits physicists who hold an M.Sc. in Medical Physics or Radiological Physics, or an M.Sc. in Physics with a diploma in one of those fields, along with a one-year internship. The attached application form is titled Medical Physicist (Non-medico) and asks for your M.Sc. and internship details. This is a short-term engagement, not a permanent faculty job.

• Radio-therapy (Radiation Oncology), regular seat: one seat in the radiation oncology department, marked for an SC candidate.
• Radio-therapy (Radiation Oncology), PG-2024 seat: one unreserved seat filled against a vacant academic PG-2024 seat.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Seat changes: Seats may vary as per further DGME UP, Lucknow adjustment under the compulsory Govt. Service Bond (G.O. No. 950/71-2-82/2017 dated 7 March 2018), and the number of posts may go up or down at the interview.
• Pay rules: Pay and allowances follow KGMU's own rules.
• Affidavits at joining: If selected, you give two affidavits on Rs. 10 e-stamp paper (Annexures 1 and 2) about your previous experience and your caste certificate.
• Category certificate: Reserved-category candidates need a certificate from a UP Government competent authority issued within the last six months.
• Travel and cancellation: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview, and the Vice Chancellor may cancel the advertisement in part or whole without giving a reason.

Application Submission Notes

Download the application form attached to the notice on the KGMU website, fill it in and hand it over with self-certified document copies at the Office of the Medical Superintendent before the last date. Pay the walk-in fee by depositing it in the University Income Fund account at Indian Bank, KGMU, Lucknow (A/c 20229846433, IFSC IDIB000K656).

On interview day, report to the Committee Hall, Medical Superintendent Office, G.M. and A.H., KGMU, Lucknow by 1:30 PM. Bring one set of photocopies of all certificates plus the originals for checking.
